Greetings from Unadilla Bill
Unadilla became "Nebraska's Groundhog Capital" in 1988 and celebrates every year on the 1st Saturday of February with a parade and other festivities. Just 20 miles SE of Lincoln, with 300 friendly residents, Unadilla's unusual Main Street is on the Historic Register.

I passed by Unadilla, NE before but never stopped until I found out about Bill. Poor Bill got caught in someones garden and ended up stuffed. Since then he has become Nebraska's official weather forecasting groundhog. Unadilla even has a parade featuring Bill every year no matter what the weather! The population swells from 300 to 500 during that time.
