A Carolina Wren Bird

National Post Card Week
2014

The Carolina Wren was adopted as the state bird of South Carolina in 1948.  It can be found throughout the state in fields, woodlands and swamps.  The Carolina Wren is known for nesting in unusual places such as bags, boxes, flower pots and shoes and for its tea-kettle-tea-kettle-tea-kettle-tea song.
