A Lion, Elephant, African Buffalo, Giraffe and a Meerkat, Kalahari Resorts

Kalahari
Resorts and Conventions

The Kalahari Resort & Convention Center in Wisconsin
in Dells, Wisconsin was America's largest indoor water park, until 2005 when it was surpassed by its sister resort in Sandusky, Ohio.
Kalahari's newest Resort and Convention Center in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania recently took this title in 2015 giving Kalahari the title of the World's Coolest Waterparks according to Conde Nast.

The sender writes:
We are enjoying our little vacation at the Kalahari Resort.  The kids are having so much fun!  We are attending the Autism Society of Wisconsin Conference. We saw a postcard, and thought of you!

This postcard features a Lion, Elephant, African Buffalo, Giraffe and a Meerkat and is from 2017.

The Kalahari Resorts and Conventions is named after the Kalahari Desert in southern Africa, hence the African theme at all the resorts. The lobbies have artificial fountains, trees, and animals that have been imported from local markets and shops in Africa.

The Ark Lodge, Aberdare National Park in Kenya, Africa

The Ark is a Game-viewing Lodge situated at an altitude of 7,600 Feet, deep in the heart of the Aberdare National Park of Kenya.

In addition to regularly seeing elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard, and occasionally Lion, within unusually close photographe distances, there can also be seen the rarer forest animals such as Giant Forest Hog, Suni, Red Duiker, and the shy elusive Bongo, which was sighted no fewer than 133 nights in one year.

(Bongo Antelope is shown in the upper lefthand corner of the postcard)

A buffalypso is a Trinidad -bred buffalo .
Water Buffalo were first introduced in Trinidad in 1906 from India. In 1950 they started to breed these water buffaloes in order to improve meat production. In 1964 it was decided that the variant sufficiently bred was to be appointed as a separate breed: the buffalypso -  a contraction of buffalo and calypso.
