Winter - A Dolphin with a Prosthetic Tail

Clearwater Marine Aquarium
How did Winter lose her tail?
 - She became entangled in a crab trap line.

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of marine life.

The sender writes, "This dolphin named Winter was rescued.  They were unable to save her tail, but have been working with a prosthetic with her.  She has inspired many people with prosthetic as she has been learning to use her prosthetic tail."

Parrots and Dolphins from Orlando, Florida

Orlando, Florida - a Magical Place

Design by Ed Cunningham

This postcard features a map of Florida, a train, some parrots and a couple of dolphins. The castle looks like the one at Disney, my guess is they made it white so they do not have to pay Disney any fees for using the picture.

Animals of The Red Sea

The Red Sea
(This card features, fish, coral, a turtle and a dolphin.)

The sender writes:
I'm on a work trip here (diving) and LOVE IT  :)
2010

The Red sea is known for its spectacular recreational diving sites, such as Ras Mohammed, SS Thistlegorm (shipwreck), Elphinstone, The Brothers, Dolphin Reef and Rocky Island in Egypt.
It became known a sought-after diving destination after the expeditions of Hans Hass in the 1950s, and later by Jacques-Yves Cousteau.

Tourism in the South of Red Sea is presently considered risky because of the presence of pirates originating from uncontrolled zones of Somalia. Large vessels such as cargoes are sometimes attacked by high-speed boats heavily armed. The situation is even worse in the Gulf of Aden between Somalia and Yemen.
