Baby Bears
Black Bear (Ursus americanus)
A black bear in the West is just as likely to be brown as it is to be black. These shy omnivores must eat constantly to maintain their weight (an average of 150 to 200 for a female and twice that for a male.) Black bears are considered semihibernators because even while dormant they can awaken quickly.
