Bambi, Thumper, Flower and a Butterfly

Walt Disney Classics

Bambi
The world of nature was portrayed in this story of a deer’s life from birth to maturity.  Taken from Felix Salten’s Bambi, A Life in the Woods, the picture blends richly painted forest scenes with animated cartoon creatures.  The infant Bambi learned about his neighbors from Thumper, the rabbit.  “Bird,” Bambi said when a butterfly settled on his tail.  “Flower!” Bambi exclaimed when he saw a little skunk.  And the name stuck.  Bambi, Thumper, and Flower became good friends and all grew up together in the great forest.
