Rocky Mountain Wildlife 12. Mountain Bluebird

Mountain Bluebird - Sialia currucoides.
Nesting in tree cavities and preying on insects, this species is commonly encountered inhabiting woodland, meadows and tundra.  the male is a striking sky blue and the female is brownish-grey.
