Rocky Mountain Wildlife - 8. Mule Deer

Mule Deer near Treeline - Odocoileus hemionus.
Bucks with antlers in velvet band together before the "rut".  Feeding mostly at night, mule deer are the chief prey of mountain lions.

(rut is basically breading season)
